Recently I decided that I was going to give MAC's Studio Fix Fluid another go. I haven't used this foundation in around three years. I was matched with the shade NW15, which at the time was MAC's lightest 'pinky' shade. I stopped using the foundation because I found that it was too dark for me and a bit too orangey for my skin. When I found out that MAC had finally made some lighter shades, I was interested to find out if they were a match.
I went to the MAC counter in Meadowhall and had a look at the testers. They've released NW10 & NW13. I found that NW10 was practically white and too pale for even me. I thought NW13 would be the idea shade for me but I decided to make sure by asking one of the MUAs. She confirmed I would be NW13, saying that my skin wasn't yellow toned enough for the NC range of foundations, but I only have very little amounts of pink in my skin.
I have been using this foundation for a couple of days now and I finally remember why even though the shade was wrong, I used to love this foundation. It spreads quickly and evenly over the face, giving a beautiful demi-matte finish. It's the perfect shade for me... no adding my Barry M White foundation(!) It's lasting me perfectly through days at work and I'm very pleased with my purchase. It also helps that at Debenhams they were having 10% off cosmetics when I bought it too. Result!
